The Heat Is On – goes the Glenn Frey song (he also wrote and sang the Miami Vice song “You Belong To the City” circa 1985.) Yes, the pools are now tipping toward bath water temp, and the UV index hit 11 this week. Kinda like “This Is Spinal Tap”…

Why all the 80s references? Well, I’m felling a little nostalgic this week and looking forward to the Mid-Summer Dance Party.  We’re bringing it back in a few weeks at the Palm Springs Art Museum July 15.

This weekend, we celebrate the 4th of July with lots of fireworks, random roller skating and music.  Let KGAY 106.5 be the soundtrack to your weekend – or maybe 103.1 MeTV FM is more your style with special music salutes to the red, white and blue.  See you at the fireworks!

Needing $1,000 to pay a garage owner to host the game, Nathan bets Sky Masterson (Marlon Brando) that Sky cannot get virtuous Sarah Brown (Jean Simmons) out on a date.
