I look to “accentuate the positive…eliminate the negative” as the old song goes. So I stay away from most of our local Facebook groups that love to amplify someone being wronged with bad service at a restaurant, a pothole that isn’t filled or a piece of art not to their liking.
So today, let’s ‘stop and smell the roses’ – or in our case appreciate the superbloom that’s taking shape in our local deserts and mountains.
The greening of the mountainsides is already spectacular, especially when clouds partially block the rays of sun and create a highlight that can extend across an entire range. It’s especially noticeable at first light and at dusk. Gary Dorothy (Imageville) must be having a field day with his camera! Speaking of fields, the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, Joshua Tree and Death Valley will come into spectacular focus. It’s worth a road trip.
Now that’s a post on social media I’ll be happy to view and give a thumbs up to! Just don’t look for Gary there.
