Brad Fuhr

Abi Carter may be a familiar face to you. She’s made the Top 3 in American Idol after her stunning performance in Sunday’s Disney-themed night on KESQ.

But if you think you’ve seen the Indio native around town, you’re right. She performed at Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar, VillageFest and Kitchen 86, according to The Desert Sun.

I’ve been watching the competition and voting like millions of others. If you missed performances like Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” from “Barbie” and last night’s “Part of Your World” from “The Little Mermaid”, find them online.

We couldn’t be happier for her success! “A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats”, and anytime one of our locals makes it big nationally, we’re happy to shine the spotlight her way. She’ll compete one final time Sunday for top honors. Then, maybe a ticker-tape parade from Palm Springs to Indio??
