Brad Fuhr

Our KGAY/KMEE family is proud to be nominated again this year for the two “Best of” competitions that coincidentally both start voting this week.

When I created KGAY 106.5/92.1 and KMEE 103.1, I used my many years of radio experience which pointed to serving the community above all else. I formed the company as a public benefit corporation (Think B Corps like Ben & Jerry’s and Patagonia), to put purpose over profit.

Matching KGAY/KMEE with the well-established online Gay Desert Guide allows us to provide great content including our Visitor Map & Guide, blogs, events and curating LGBTQ+ friendly businesses in the Coachella Valley. So I appreciate that we’re recognized for what we do and ask that you vote in the two competitions listed below.

This enterprise takes a lot of wonderful people to keep the ship afloat. Like the Emmy’s, there’s always a team behind the scenes making sure it all looks and sounds top notch. So besides those of us who are nominated, I want to take the time to thank my entire team of 20+ people who keep the train on the tracks.

I also want to thank our hundreds of advertisers who invest to help this enterprise serve the LGBTQ+ community. Please be sure to let them know next time you stop by. You could also support them with your vote in the best of competitions. Hopefully this conditions your voting gene to pull the lever properly on November 5th.
