This community discussion will explore how the Alzheimer’s Association can best support people in the Coachella Valley. Hear from a panel of experts speaking on specific issues facing our LGBTQ+ community, learn about brain health, and obtain resources. More info

This week, strategy becomes ever more important as two stars are awarded to the top finishers this week. The Rancho Mirage Writers Festival and the Rancho MIrage Library and Observatory present author Annabelle Gurwitch for a book talk, chat and book signing on Monday, June 13 from 2–3 pm. Gurwitch is an actress, activist, humorist, and author of five books. She also co-hosted the cult TV hit Dinner and a Movie on TBS. This is a free event. More info


Can’t Cancel Pride

Cant Cancel Pride 2022

iHeartRadio and P&G present Can’t Cancel Pride 2022 – Proud AND Together, streaming online Tuesday, June 14 from 5–6 pm. This third annual event will be hosted by JoJo Siwa and will focus on the challenges and celebrations of “The Year in Pride,” showcasing twelve months of community and activism and the issues that continue to impact the LGBTQ+ community in 2022 as well as intersectional messages of spirit and strength. Celebrity appearances include: Elton John, Katy Perry, Sam Smith, Lizzo, Anitta, Dove Cameron, Betty Who, and Kim Petras. The LGBTQ Center of the Desert is a beneficiary of this year’s event. Marilyn Movies in the Park

Seven Year Itch

The Palm Springs Cultural Center presents Movies in the Park, launching Wednesday, June 15 at 8 pm with the iconic Marilyn Monroe film The Seven Year Itch. This is the first annual outdoor summer pop-up film series at the new downtown park in Palm Springs, and will continue with Gentlemen Prefer Blondes on July 20 and Some Like it Hot on August 17. Appearing at each screening are The Marilyns of Palm Springs, a local Marilyn-centric performance troupe led by Miss DD Starr of the Palm Springs School of Burlesque. The Marilyns will be on hand for photos and fun before each screening. More info
