The Danube: That’s the river that we’re on for the Brandg cruise often referred to as the “Blue” Danube. However, this is not because the river has a bluish hue.

Brad Fuhr

The name Blue Danube actually refers to the waltz composed by Austrian Johann Strauss in 1866. We heard a rendition of it Thursday evening in lovely Vienna accompanied on the excursion with musicians Brandon & James (who play The Purple Room twice each year). That turned into a late night of partying in this beautiful city with the winners of our KGAY 106.5 “Secret Word of the Day” promotion. Christian Torres and Jeffrey Osmer won our contest (Shown below on the right) and we’ve had a great time accompanying them. Thanks also to FlyPSP.com, the Palm Springs International Airport, for flying them to and from the cruise!

KGAY has another fun fall giveaway planned – listen for details.
