Cathedral City LGBT Days
Holding the distinction of California’s first Pride celebration of the year, the 6th Annual Cathedral City LGBT Days runs March 25–27 in downtown Cathedral City. There is much to do on each of the three days of the festival: Friday is the Opening Ceremony and Party in Town Square, hosted by John Taylor of KGAY 106.5! The kickoff includes a Rainbow Lighting of City Hall, and opening of the exhibit: Sharing Our Desert’s LGBTQ+ History, plus a Del Shores comedy show at CVRep. Then, it’s concert time on Saturday when Lance Bass hosts the Pop 2000 tour featuring OTOWN, Ryan Cabrera, and LFO, co-hosted by Mayhem Miller with music also from DJ Alex D.
On Sunday, March 27 at 10 am, it’s the festival’s signature event: the Parade of Beds and Bed Race, which will feature color commentary provided by KGAY 106.5 Morning Show host John Taylor, alongside Bella da Ball! The race will be followed by Brunch in the Park. More info
Throughout the weekend, The Roost Lounge in Cathedral City presents their Balcony Party, a weekend of fun with fresh entertainment nightly: On Friday, March 25 at 5 pm, kick off the weekend with headliner Debby Holiday, plus Bill Ramirez & DJ Galaxy. On Saturday, March 26 performers include Shann Carr, Sean Taylor Jackson, DJ Tema Dancer, DJ Galaxy, Bill Lohnes, Bill Ramirez, and Coachella Valley Drag Kings. On Sunday, March 27, it’s a T Dance at 1 pm with headliner Kristine W, plus Eric Sean, Karen Cobb, & Tony Patler. More info
AMP Sports Lounge has its own lineup of entertainment and fun [check it out] for Cathedral City LGBT Days, including Karaoke, Disco, and the Finals of the Cat City Drag Contest on Saturday, March 26 at 8 pm, hosted by the reigning “Royal Highness” of Cat City, Angelique VaGorgeous. Her cast of “Shady Ladies” will flip out, cast out and make it rain…bring your umbrellas, cash, and uniqueness! Come see the crowning of a new winner. More info
Across the street from downtown Cathedral City, CCBC Resort invites you to their Cathedral City LGBT Days Pride Pool Party on Saturday, March 26 from noon–4 pm. DJ Bobby will be poolside providing the music. More info
Transgender Visibility Day
The LGBTQ Center Coachella Valley presents Transgender Visibility Day on Friday, March 25 from 4–8 pm. This is the first Transgender Visibility Day at the new offices in Coachella. It is extremely important to celebrate and uplift all Trans people, particularly at this moment in time, and The Center has partnered with Paulina Angel of Trans Community Project to bring this event to life. It will be an afternoon of fun, celebration, and art with refreshments and speakers in the evening. More info
Trans Pride Fair
Coachella Valley’s Transgender Health & Wellness Center presents the 2022 Trans Pride Fair on Sunday, March 27 from 10 am–5 pm at Frances Stevens Park in Palm Springs. There’ll be snacks, music, and fun. Make new friends and learn about vital resources. All allies are welcome. More info

Red Carpet Party for The Oscars
The Mary Pickford Theatre presents Your Red Carpet Party on Oscar Sunday, March 27 from 4–8 pm. Attendees will begin the night with a walk on the red carpet, with Emcee Patrick Evans of KESQ-TV, and strike a pose at the Stand & Repeat. The evening will include complimentary drinks and passed hors d’oeuvres throughout the live telecast of the awards at the party in the lobby and on the big screen. 100% of the net sales proceeds will benefit Variety-the Children’s Charity of the Desert. White Party Palm Springs Announces Headliner Paula Abdul
The largest gay circuit party in the United States, White Party Palm Springs, is set to return April 29–May 1 at the Hilton Palm Springs and the Palm Springs Convention Center. The legacy of late White Party founder Jeffrey Sanker will continue with a weekend of pool parties, after-hours parties, and main-event dances, including the Sunday Big Top Circus T-Dance, this year featuring headliner Paula Abdul!
