Jack-in-the-Box a sex club? That’s how I read the map put out by the City of Palm Springs after the council approved a new zoning area around Sunny Dunes and South Palm Canyon. Now that’s not likely to happen, but according to the Talkington Post it’s the general area of where such businesses will be allowed. Next on the council’s agenda according to the article: “The Council tabled a decision on public nudity that centered around which parts of the body can be exposed in public after agreeing that more discussion was needed.” I love this town…

Rock the Park: Prince Again – The Music of The Purple One
The Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce’s free outdoor concert series of tribute bands at the Palm Springs Downtown Park, “Rock the Park,” presents Prince Again – The Music of The Purple One, featuring the music of the one and only Prince, on Wednesday, February 1 at 7 pm. Rock the Park continues on the first Wednesday each month, through May 3. Future dates will pay tribute to Bon Jovi (3/1), Bee Gees (4/5), and Journey (5/3). David Rothmiller and LD Thompson, who spent many years in the Coachella Valley, and founded Sanctuary Palm Springs, the first-ever LGBT Foster Care Transitional Home, have guest-blogged an update on what they’ve been up to lately! You may have seen their adopted daughter, Addieson Rothmiller-Thompson, on the Golden Globes recently, as Ambassador (handing awards to presenters), and doing the same for the American Music Awards. This trailblazer was the first transgender Varsity Cheerleader and Homecoming Princess at Palm Springs High School and is now a model signed with Slay Models in Los Angeles. Read more
